PerLaTech — High-performance films for applications
that cannot afford to stop
The PerLaTech Group specializes in thin, high-performance films made from UHMW-PE. What began in 2002 in Bürgstadt, Germany, has developed into an international group of companies with operations in Germany, the USA, and China — driven by a commitment that has remained unchanged for decades: to provide materials that perform precisely where standard solutions reach their limits.
Our name is our program
PerLaTech is not a meaningless made-up word. The name consists of three elements that also describe what our products stand for:
Per — for persistent: durable, reliable, and wear-resistant. Our films are designed for applications where years of continuous operation are the norm, not the exception.
La — from the Latin “labi,” meaning to glide. The low coefficient of friction of UHMW-PE is at the heart of our value proposition: quieter operation, less resistance, and lower energy loss.
Tech — for high technology: computer-monitored process parameters, in-house formulation development, and consistently high-quality films produced by ram extrusion and skiving.
The same idea gave rise to our product brand PerGlide® — today synonymous with our UHMW-PE films and coatings.
Three locations, one team
Our headquarters and the technical center of the Group are located in Bürgstadt, Germany. From here, we manage product development, formulations, and quality assurance.
In the USA, PerLaTech Inc., based in Florida, provides our gateway to the American market — with local inventory, customer-specific finishing, short delivery routes, and contacts in the local time zone.
In China, the Group has its own company in the Rubber Valley in Qingdao. This enables us to support customers whose manufacturing operations are located in Asia directly on site — providing technical advice, supply, and service according to the same quality standards as in Europe.

We rarely offer off-the-shelf solutions: almost every application is jointly evaluated, sampled, and optimized until the desired result is achieved.
